Client Types and Their Nuances.

Overview:

Clients in Polaris are of three types, as described below.

Single Company – Single Location (SC-SL):

These are clients that operate their business out of a single location. When logging in as a Single Company – Single Location client, the Client Organization and NOAA region will be automatically selected in the Global Filter.

The Locations Group filter will display “All Location Groups”. The Location filter enable users to drill down to location specific activity or that of the “Default Location” when marketing activities cannot be mapped to specific locations.

Single Company – Multi Location (SC-ML):

These are clients that operate their businesses out of multiple locations. When logging in as a Single Company – Multi Location,  the Client Organization will be automatically selected in the Global Filter.

Multi Company (ML)

These are clients that operate multiple businesses e.g., Private Equity (PE) Firms, Franchisors, and Companies that grow by acquisition. Each of the businesses could be either Single Location or Multi Location. Polaris enables these clients to view metrics across their businesses, or drill down to specific dimensions.

When logging in as a Multi Company,  the Client Organization will display “All My Organizations” in the Global Filter. The Location Groups will display “All Location Groups” and the “NOAA Region” will display “All Regions” The Organization, Location and Region filters enable users to drill down on the metrics by organization, location, or NOAA region.  Polaris supports multiple levels in the Organization Hierarchy.

Tables with the organization hierarchy may be defined for these clients that show performance of a set of selected metrics by organization and location.
